NOTE: During the current school closure (March 16th - March 27th), Columbia Heights Public Schools teachers and staff are preparing for distance learning. E-learning is not currently in affect. (posted 3-16-2020)
Columbia Heights Public Schools (CHPS) is excited to implement e-learning days to facilitate student learning during inclement weather. In the event of inclement weather, CHPS may call an e-learning day. Instead of learning at school, students will learn and complete assignments from home.
E-learning days will be determined by the Superintendent on a case-by-case basis. E-learning days will be announced with an automated phone call, posted on the District website and social media.
Students will receive information about the required assignments for e-learning days from their teachers. In order to be counted as “present” for an e-learning day, students must complete the required assignments and submit them when school resumes. While these days cannot replace the face-to-face time students have with their teachers, they can provide continued learning when school is cancelled.
