Columbia Heights public invited to participate in community conversation
The Columbia Heights Public School District community is invited to participate in a "Reimagine Minnesota" community conversation, 6 to 8:30 p.m., March 9, 2017 at the Mounds View Community Center (5394 Edgewood Drive, Mounds View, MN, 55112).
"Reimagine Minnesota" is a commitment to create lasting equity and excellence in education for all students. More than 40 school district superintendents, including Kathy Kelly of Columbia Heights Public Schools, are developing a collective education plan to address integration, access, opportunity and educational achievement for all students in Minnesota. With your input, they will create this plan and provide recommendations for new local and statewide policies and practices.
This event is designed to be participatory and engaging. Everyone is welcomed, honored and respected for who they are and the contributions they offer. Light food and refreshments will be served.
Though space is limited, Columbia Heights Public Schools will provide a bus leaving from Columbia Heights High School (CHHS) 5:30 p.m. to the event and returning to CHHS by 9 p.m. Please RSVP by Feb. 24, 2017 by clicking here (also indicate if you need childcare, interpreters or riding the bus) or calling Director of Community Education Kristen Stuenkel at 763-528-4517.
Thank you for considering participating in the Reimagine Minnesota community conversation as a representative of Columbia Heights Public Schools.
