Voters Approve All Three Columbia Heights Public Schools Bond Referendum Questions
The unofficial results of the Columbia Heights Public Schools 2018 Bond Referendum say all three ballot questions have passed. Unofficial results are available on the Minnesota Secretary of State's website.
Results are not official until canvassed by the School Board at the next Business Meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 in the Community Room at the District Center. When results are made official, the District will invest $17 million for safety, security and modernization of educational spaces at North Park Elementary School and Columbia Heights High School.
“We are filled with appreciation for the support of the community,” said School Board Chair John Larkin. “We are so pleased with the turnout for the bond referendum and that all three questions passed. We listened to the community when they asked us to separate the questions and the community supported all three. This will bring the needed safety, security and updates of our facilities for our students. Strong schools equal strong communities!”
