Learning Awaits Your Young Scholar

Columbia Heights Public Schools create college- and career-ready graduates starting in PreK! The District offers full-day PreK 4 and Kindergarten at each of the District's three elementary schools – Highland, North Park and Valley View – and a section of PreK 4 at the Family Center

Do you have a child that will be four years old by Sept. 1, 2019? It’s time register for PreK 4!
Do you have a child that will be five years old by Sept. 1, 2019? It’s time to register for Kindergarten!

Each of the District’s three elementary schools will host a PreK 4 and Kindergarten registration night:

Highland Elementary
5-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28

North Park Elementary
5-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29

Valley View Elementary
5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27

Attend your school’s event to learn more about PreK 4 and Kindergarten, your school and the caring teachers and staff.

We will provide all the information you need to get started, but we need you to bring the following documents to help your student start their journey to graduation:

  • Birth certificate
  • Immunization record or exemption
  • Early Childhood Screening summary
  • Proof of address 
  • Emergency contact information (name, address and phone) 
  • Daycare information (name, address and phone)

If you are unable to attend your school’s registration night, or would like a private tour, contact your school for an appointment. Families may also register their student(s) at the Placement Center, 1440 49th Ave. NE, Columbia Heights. For more information, contact the Placement Center at 763-528-4426.
